If caregiving responsibilities change, you can change permissions for collaborators.

Remove collaborators from a Medical Profile

If a collaborator is no longer helping to manage a profile, you can remove them as a collaborator.

  1. On a mobile device or computer, open a browser, and sign into Primary Record
  2. Click Profiles > Choose the Medical Profile you want to manage.
  3. Click Access > Choose the collaborator for whom you want to remove access.
  4. On the bottom right, click Remove access.
  5. The collaborator can no longer access the Medical Profile.

Transfer ownership of a Medical Profile

You can change profile ownership of a Medical Profile after important family or role changes. Whether you have a teen transitioning into adulthood, an aging parent who now requires guardianship, or a foster family returning a medically complex child to their parents, the Medical Profile can stay with the person who is best able to act as the Profile Organizer.

  1. On a mobile device or computer, open a browser, and sign into Primary Record
  2. Click Profiles > Choose the Medical Profile you want to transfer.
  3. Click Access > Review the list of collaborators first to make sure the person to whom you’re transferring ownership is listed there. If they are not, invite the future profile organizer as a collaborator first.
  4. Once accepted or confirmed, on the bottom right corner, click More > Transfer the organizer role.
